Homemaker

 

Mrs. Barbara A. (nee Collins) McLaughlin, 79, died at her home in Springfield on August 16, 2017 after a lengthy illness.

 

Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. McLaughlin was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls.  The homemaker was a resident of Westbrook Park before moving to Springfield 9 years ago.  She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Springfield.

 

Mrs. McLaughlin loved spending time with her daughter, her grandchildren, and her dogs.  Some of her most enjoyable times were spent at the Jersey shore basking in the sun. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor.

 

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Walt) Shields, three grandchildren, Brian, Melissa, and Justin Shields and her granddog, Lacey.  She was predeceased by her husband, Robert McLaughlin and a son, Robbie McLaughlin.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, August 23, after 9:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Avenue, Springfield, PA 19064 followed immediately by her funeral Mass at 10:00 AM.

 

Interment will be private.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Crozer Keystone Hospice, 200 W. Sproul Road, 2nd floor, Springfield, PA 19064.
