Our History

Our History

The M. F. Williams Funeral Home was founded in 1929 by Myron F. Williams a young Clifton Heights Funeral Director. Mr. Williams became a beloved figure of the Clifton Heights community which he served for over 40 years until his death in 1967. The tradition of M. F. Williams was then carried on by Margaret Williams who was wife of the late M. F. Williams and operated by their daughter Ruth Williams Swayze and her husband Walter H. Swayze, Jr.

In that time Mr. Williams’s family had performed well in carrying out his desire to operate a funeral establishment that could be trusted to carry out every request and be highly sensitive to the needs of the people they served. In 2001 the funeral home was then purchased by two longtime employees of the business Joseph G. McBrearty and Joseph F. Lombardo, Jr. and in 2008 the name of the business changed to the Williams Lombardo Funeral Home now owned and operated solely by Joseph Lombardo.

Many advances have been made at the M. F. Williams Funeral Home in the last eighty years, but one thing will never change, we will always offer the highest quality of service, conducted with dignity, at the lowest possible cost.
